.jo. {Redding, CA Senior Photographer West Valley High School}

Hello My Blog Readers! I am home from Ireland, and our annual family tradition, the Scottish Games held every year in Pleasanton, CA over Labor Day weekend. I took lots of pics, so I’ll hopefully be sharing those!!!! I have literally hit the ground running since returning from Ireland!! Thank you all for your patience!

Today I captured Jo from West Valley! It was a windy session, but oh so lovely! I haven’t photographed so early in a bit & enjoyed working with the morning light!!! Jo is a Volleyball Player from West Valley High School & is so far really enjoying her Senior Year!! Thank you for the great session, Jo!!! You are absolutely stunning!!! Best wishes in all you pursue!!!!

and because her eyes were soo incredible another close up in black & white!!

.dreams.

Today I leave for San Francisco. Tomorrow I leave for Ireland. My husband Ben is coming with me. It will be our first time, being married in thirteen years, that we’ve been on a plane together. A dream come true. The next part of the dream is for the whole family to fly… anywhere! My kids want to ride on an airplane with all their hearts!!!

It’s so wild how things we dream for do come true. As I look at my life & all that it has become tears flow so gently down my cheeks! If you would’ve asked me three years ago if I was going to be a photographer, and even further, photographing a wedding in Ireland I would’ve said that you were crazy!!!! My life has changed in so many ways. Dreams are starting to unfold in ways that I couldn’t imagine. More interestingly, the dreams are not only my dreams, but I feel like they are the Father’s dreams for me. I always have an idea of how something is going to turn out or become, but most all of the time, when I link my heart to His heart, my dreams are even better!!! & they turn out even better!!!!

Don’t ever lose hope. Continue to dream! Continue to pursue your dreams!

With that being said I will be out of the office until August 30th!  Seniors, it’s not too late to book your session!!! Feel free to e-mail me to set something up!!!!

.lady in red. {Redding, CA Engagement Photographer}

About a year ago Melissa did some modeling for me & had brought this beautiful red dress to the shoot. Knowing she was dating David, and they were pretty serious I asked her to hold the dress for their engagement shoot! I just had this feeling that it would make for the most amazing engagement photos! The dress, along with the beautiful couple, made stunning photos! I couldn’t be more happier! It was such a great shoot! Both David & Melissa were so anticipating the shoot, ready to pose it up, ready to have fun, & willing to try anything! Thank you both for the honor of capturing the magic that you share!!

.finnley in matilda jane!. {Redding, CA Child Photographer}

I cannot say ENOUGH about the amazing children’s & now mommy line, Matilda Jane! One of my dear friends, here in Redding, is now a Trunk Keeper for Matilda Jane, Keri Grauel! If you are interested in purchasing anything, or even hosting a Matilda Jane Trunk Show shoot her an e-mail!!!  You will not be disappointed in this line! It is absolutely incredible!

I had a little mini-shoot with Keri’s daughter! She was a little shy in front of the camera, but when my daughter, Kira, who joined me on the shoot, started being a little fishy, Finnley warmed up & gave us a few smiles!!!!

.lilly. {Redding, CA Senior Photographer}

Too many to chose from!!!

.good-bye’s. {Redding, CA Child Photographer}

Good-bye’s are always sad, but new beginnings are always so beautiful! The Lynn Family have been incredible clients of mine, & yesterday we had a “for the last time in Redding” session! They are getting ready to move up north, and as sad as I am to see them go, I am so happy for the new adventures in their lives!!! We had a sweet session. Avagail is definitely busier than all of her photo shoots, but OMG! She is just as cute as ever!!! I’ll miss you, Lynn Family! When you come visit Redding be sure to give me a call!!!

.chloe. {Redding, CA Photographer}

As a mother one of my greatest dreams for my children is that they would have the best childhood memories! At times I wonder what will their memories be? What will they remember?? When Conner was in Kindergarten he met the sweetest little girl named, Chloe Masten! They were best friends, Conner even named our little dog, Chloe, after his friend, because, as he would say “Chloe is so sweet!” We moved up to Redding, and haven’t seen his friend Chloe in four years! Thanks to face book, and keeping connected, Chloe’s Mom & I have stayed in touch, and guess who just happened to be in Redding?? Yes!! The Masten family!! It was so fun watching them re-aquaint with each other. So wish I would have caught it on video!!!! Thanks Masten’s for stopping by & for letting us create memories for our children !!! Chloe will always be in our hearts, as well as your family! Love you! (it’s gonna be fun when they see each other at age sixteen…LOL)

Meet Chloe & Chloe!!!!

Couldn’t resist taking their pics— sooo beautiful they are!!!

everyone together!!!!!!

I was able to find this picture of Conner & Chloe right before we moved from the Bay Area to Redding…. Almost four years ago….

and today……another memory documented!! the “air-hug!!!”

thanks for stopping by today, Masten family!!!! have a wonderful vacation!!!!!!
