.dreams.

Today I leave for San Francisco. Tomorrow I leave for Ireland. My husband Ben is coming with me. It will be our first time, being married in thirteen years, that we’ve been on a plane together. A dream come true. The next part of the dream is for the whole family to fly… anywhere! My kids want to ride on an airplane with all their hearts!!!

It’s so wild how things we dream for do come true. As I look at my life & all that it has become tears flow so gently down my cheeks! If you would’ve asked me three years ago if I was going to be a photographer, and even further, photographing a wedding in Ireland I would’ve said that you were crazy!!!! My life has changed in so many ways. Dreams are starting to unfold in ways that I couldn’t imagine. More interestingly, the dreams are not only my dreams, but I feel like they are the Father’s dreams for me. I always have an idea of how something is going to turn out or become, but most all of the time, when I link my heart to His heart, my dreams are even better!!! & they turn out even better!!!!

Don’t ever lose hope. Continue to dream! Continue to pursue your dreams!

With that being said I will be out of the office until August 30th!  Seniors, it’s not too late to book your session!!! Feel free to e-mail me to set something up!!!!

Dreaming–

..just had a photo session with the amazing photographer kara stewart & her girls!! such an honor!! & just a little glimpse of the shoot!!

.Girls Just Want 2 Have Fun!. {Redding, CA Family Photographer}

After this photo session it totally made me want to schedule a shoot with just the ladies in my family! To get all dressed up & have a little fun posing it up for the camera!!! It was a bit hot, but we shot away & had a BLAST!!!! Thanks, girls, for the awesome session!!!

.1 + 2 = three. {Redding, CA Maternity Photographer}

It has been just over two years now that I have been photographing professionally!! Starting out I loved shooting everything & anything. Slowly, but surely, as I have found “me” in photography, I have also found more of a passion in what I love to capture! Overcoming fears & gaining confidence has definitely made a difference in the different areas that I photograph! This session was a bit bittersweet because it is my last maternity session! (unless we are friends…. LOL!) I really want to pursue what I am most passionate about in photography, and so for now, maternity & newborn sessions will no longer be offered. If you need an amazing recommendation, let me know!!!!

I instantly fell in love with Melissa & her boys & her mom!!! Amazing family! I was in awe of Melissa’s patience & calmness with her boys! Capturing her interacting with her boys was priceless! The little giggles, touching her belly, wondering if baby is a boy or a girl, the, “am I done yet’s?”, just thinking through the session makes me smile again!!!!

Looking forward to meeting your new baby, Melissa! Thank you for such a wonderful session!!

.”Sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” -Alice in Wonderland

I just celebrated turning 34! AHH! So old I am!! We have all been fighting colds in my land, so it was a pretty mellow birthday, but the celebration & feeling special was very much a part of April 5th! This quote from Alice in Wonderland ignited something in my heart!! To dream, to belive, to spread your wings & fly! Six impossible things before breakfast—-ahhhh!!!!

Meet Alex–She LOVES Tim Burton!!! I loved capturing her! Her brother Nash is leaving soon to serve our country–keep him in your prayers. Meet Sandy & her adorable pups! A beautiful woman who has inspired me beyond words! Sandy–your joy for life is remarkable!

.avagail. {Redding, CA Photographer}

If feels like I am always saying..”the most amazing thing about being a photographer is….”, honestly, though, it’s amazing doing what you love!!!! Anyways—One of the things that I love about my job is the connections that I have made through photography. I have been doing the “Watch Me Grow” package with the Lynn family, and Avagail is now ONE! Crazy to believe that a little over a year ago I did their maternity pics, then newborn pics, six month pics, and now celebrating 12 month pictures!!!! Avagail is the sweetest little princess!! A doll to photograph!! I always look forward to their sessions. We thought today might get rained out, but luckily the clouds cleared out, and we had a beautiful session!!!

Thank you, Tya & Collin, for the honor of capturing your family!!!! I look forward to many more photoshoots!!! Hugs!!!!

.life is beautiful. {Redding, CA Family Photographer}

I was so honored to capture the entire Shoffner Family! It was the easiest photo shoot of a family of FOURTEEN that I have ever had. The connection between this family was incredible! It was so delightful to watch everyone laughing together & loving each other!!! Thank you, Shoffner’s for having me capture your family!

This shot makes me so happy! I could hear everyone behind me & had to capture the joy!!!

and because they had so many cheering them on…..

.”Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dreams!” ~George Bush

I have so enjoyed the season of capturing families! All are so beautiful & unique! Each personality so different, each smile so precious.

I love this family! They have been such a huge part of my life these last three years! I so honored to capture their funness, their connection, and their love!!!!

.to capture. {Redding, CA Family Photographer}

I love the word capture & I love to capture! Yesterday I ventured out with my BFF & her family & just played around. It was a blast! Her kids are so easy to photograph!

.the beauty of family. {Redding, CA Family Photographer}

The Radich Family was such a beautiful family to capture! I am so blessed to have the honor of capturing a moment of history in people’s lives. Sometimes it just feels surreal that I am a photographer. I really wanted to be a speech pathologist, so to capture, at times, just seems like…”what?”, “really?” I love it! I love all seasons of photography!!

.Favorite Thing #25. {Merry Christmas!!!}

My Favorite Thing #25 is YOUR COMMENTS! Your comments on my blog are like Starbucks to me! I love them! They make my heart happy! They make me smile! They make me want to hug you! They make me want to sit & chat with you! They make me appreciate what I do! They make me want to be a better me, a better photographer, a better friend! Your comments mean the world! Thank you for the comments you have left me!

We had a beautiful Christmas Eve! We were welcomed with much love into the Sidele home where we feasted on the most glorious food I have ever eaten, sat and visited with beautiful friends, and watched the kids playing around with much excitement, actually asking to go to bed, so it would be Christmas!  As I sit here, writing this entry.. the house sleeps sweetly! I have a moment to look at our beautiful Christmas Tree! To breathe in the meaning of Christmas! I am so blessed! I am so thankful for life! For my family! For my friends! For all the goodness life gives! May you be richly blessed this Christmas & may this year be above & beyond all that you could ask or imagine!! Blessings! Blessings!!

You would’ve had a laugh watching me set this little pose up!! I had my iPhone, bracelet,  and camera strap propped under my camera so that it would not tilt over, so I could self-time this shot!! LOL! We HAD to get some sort of family photo in!! Merry Christmas!!!
