As most of you know I live in Redding, CA. The last month has seemed like rain non-stop! Rain & clouds! Hail & sun! Rain & wind! Snow & rain! Literally! This, my friends is not the best scenario for photographers without a studio. The cancellations & re-booking are making April quite full. I am thankful through it all & just taking these slower days to catch-up & to find relaxation. {Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are. -Chinese Proverb}

Yesterday I was wallowing in my sorrows of another cancelled photo shoot, because of the rain, and had an “AH HA” moment! There was really nothing I could do about the rain, trust me I was praying, but it just wanted to rain, & I found peace with that. So, I decided to face the situation & make the best of it. To push through the opposite of what I was feeling! To push through the opposite of what I thought I couldn’t do/or really didn’t want to do, and texted Hadley! Waiting for her response,  I instantly saw a door! I have a few doors in my house as decoration & thought I would load one up & find a spot for it!!! The door spoke to me of an opening. There are always doors for us to open. Sometimes they are locked, we have to unlock them. Sometimes they are shut, and those times, it’s a sign, and best go with keeping the door closed. Doors are so powerful! It spoke to me yesterday! Push though, take a step, & enter in!!!

Thankfully Hadley texted me back & she was up for the adventure!!!! Happy Spring Break, Hadley!!!

When it rains, just jump through the puddles!!! There was so much freedom stepping through this door, of everything being “re-booked/cancelled” & stepping into a door of letting nothing hold me back!!!!

and then we found snow. Twenty miles out of Redding it turned into beautiful snow!!!! I honestly wasn’t going after a “snow” shoot, but it really turned out beautifully! & what about snow doesn’t make someone smile?? LOL!!!!

and the one’s that make my heart smile the most…. too hard for me to narrow it down, so a few too many…. keep on your journey!!!!
