.jo. {Redding, CA Senior Photographer West Valley High School}

Hello My Blog Readers! I am home from Ireland, and our annual family tradition, the Scottish Games held every year in Pleasanton, CA over Labor Day weekend. I took lots of pics, so I’ll hopefully be sharing those!!!! I have literally hit the ground running since returning from Ireland!! Thank you all for your patience!

Today I captured Jo from West Valley! It was a windy session, but oh so lovely! I haven’t photographed so early in a bit & enjoyed working with the morning light!!! Jo is a Volleyball Player from West Valley High School & is so far really enjoying her Senior Year!! Thank you for the great session, Jo!!! You are absolutely stunning!!! Best wishes in all you pursue!!!!

and because her eyes were soo incredible another close up in black & white!!

Through Aleah’s & my e-mail’s about her & David’s mini-engagement session I asked her if she had a theme or something about her wedding that would connect the dots! Aleah said monograms! I did a little “monogram” searching, and thank you internet for the “scrabble” inspiration!!!!!!

.life is beautiful. {Redding, CA Family Photographer}

I was so honored to capture the entire Shoffner Family! It was the easiest photo shoot of a family of FOURTEEN that I have ever had. The connection between this family was incredible! It was so delightful to watch everyone laughing together & loving each other!!! Thank you, Shoffner’s for having me capture your family!

This shot makes me so happy! I could hear everyone behind me & had to capture the joy!!!

.and she turned eight today. {Redding, CA Photographer}

My middle child, Kira, turned eight today. It is so crazy hard to believe that she is EIGHT! AHHHH! It truly does go by too fast. My mom is always telling me to take in every moment because it just is gone before you know it. Some phases seem like they take forever, but I just shake my head in amazement at how fast it does go by. Just yesterday her & I were snuggled up in a hospital room & I was in awe because I had a little girl!!

Kira is such a fun girl! I have always loved her spunky personality & how she truly enjoys every second..(most of the time).  She is such a delight! Such a wonderful gift!

She went to one of her friends LIMO RIDE  birthday party yesterday & had to dress up, so HAD to snap a few pics of her before the party…. Today was super rainy, soooo I was happy that we took pics yesterday, BUT, she looks a little more 15 & not 8!!

Happy Birthday Kira!!! I love you!!!!!

2nd Saturday Redding, CA Art Hop was AMAZING!!!!!!

Well, I managed to pull of my first Art Hop!!! Ben is gone in Mexico with Conner on a mission’s trip, so the girls trooped along with me getting ready for this BIG event…LOL…

It was such an honor to be apart of this day! My photographs & Ben’s paintings were showcased in Need 2 Speed. Looking forward to April, as I will be teaming up with Monica’s Vintage & in June both Ben & I will be in the Downtown Eatery!!! So exciting!!!!

Thanks to Tammy Love for capturing this great picture! & for all of you who came & supported me, it meant sooo much!!!!

2nd Saturday Art Hop – Redding CA

WELL–tomorrow I am honored to team up with Need 2 Speed for Redding, CA’s 2nd Saturday Art Hop! I am really excited! I have some amazing canvases to display & some beautiful prints! Such an exciting thing!!! I have butterflies!!!!!! LOL…. :)

“2nd Saturday Art Hop” is a monthly event, celebrating the arts and culture in Redding and the North State. Each second Saturday is a new, exciting community EVENT for adults and families showcasing different regional artists – painters, sculptors, musicians, poets, jewelry designers – something for everyone!

Each 2nd Saturday, participating businesses will be featured on the Art Hop Map.  Each will host a reception for a different regional artist.  So, get your map, “hop” from business to business and experience the North State’s rich cultural and artistic diversity!

.Cutest Babies Ever. {Redding, CA Child Photographer}

Last week I had a few adorable babies over to photograph & my oh my were they the CUTEST!!!! They were both almost 10 months, so happy & curious! Mr. “O” was just adorable!!!! So full of smiles!

and Little Miss “M” was the CUTEST!!!! She is Little Valentine!!! She was ready to escape most of the shoot, but I had a few little benches that kept her put for the perfect shot!!!!!

.happiness is an inside job. {Redding, CA Photographer}

A few weeks ago, Jauquin Evans, a pastor in our church, told a story about a business man who had flown miles to get counseling & when he had gotten to the counselor, the meeting started, the  counselor said, “Happiness is an inside job.” The man got up & said,  ”That’s all I needed…thanks!”  That story has literally rocked my world! That phrase has been going over & over in my mind!!!!

To the point–I have been taking pictures now for over a year & it is really interesting because with every photo session, looking into many eyes….& into the soul, I have seen & felt a lot over & in many people! Yesterday I had a photoshoot with a sweet friend of mine & looking deep into her soul I could feel “happy”. She was happy on the inside & oh how I could feel it! Happiness is an inside job! Love you, Netty! Thanks for your happiness!!!!!

.Seiji & Emily. {Redding, CA Wedding Photographer}

Ohhhh Weddings! I am continually so honored when a bride & groom choose me as their wedding photographer. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking of being chosen. It really is an honor to be apart of their special day & to go down in history as their “photographer”.

Seiji & Emily’s wedding was just incredibly beautiful! It was held at Mercy Oaks & we shot the bridal party of TWENTY, yes TWENTY on East Street! I am wrapping the wedding up this week. With the Christmas Rush, I just haven’t had a chance to get through it, soooo YEAH! (thanks guys for your patience & grace!!! ) Happy Weddings!!!!
